The human delta
Three lines are enough: what changed, who it affects, and when it starts. Link the full text. Avoid burying the start date in a footnote. If an exception path exists, name the owner—not “contact HR” as a void.
Noise patterns to cut
- Repeating the entire policy in every update email.
- Celebratory language that hides a harder obligation.
- Multiple “source of truth” links that disagree by a week.
